Location of the 4* Riu Palace Tres Islas Hotel

The 4* Riu Palace Tres Islas Hotel is located directly on the famous white beaches of the National Park of the sand dunes. It is 5 kms from the large tourist resort of Corralejo, where you will find a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

The Riu Palace Tres Islas Hotel overlooks the small island of Los Lobos and also the neighbouring island of Lanzarote.

The hotel is a 45 minutes drive from Fuerteventura Airport.

Corralejo

Corralejo is a beautiful resort situated in the north coast of Fuerteventura. The resort offers some the island's most fantastic white sandy beaches.

The town is backed by the crater of an extinct volcano and is only 8km from the national park island of Los Lobos. There are daily boats sailing to Los Lobos Island throughout the day and a visit is a must for lovers of nature, snorkelling and exploring. The famous sand dunes on the outskirts of Corralejo are similar to the beaches found in the Carribean.

This vast strech of white sand attracts sun lovers and surfers from all over Europe.  The resort has a beautiful old town, full of typical little restaurants and bars and also a bustling fishing port. Here there are daily ferry departures to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote (just 25minutes away) and many boat cruises, including catamarans and glass bottom cruises. Corralejo is home to the island's only waterpark, ACUA and to several local markets held throughout the week.

Corralejo is a great base for water sports lovers, including surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling. There are a wide variety of excursions nearby including island coach tours, quads & buggy safaris and even trips to the famous fire mountain volcano in Lanzarote!

Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is the 2nd largest of the Canary Islands, located just 90kms from the north coast of Africa.

The temperatures in Fuerteventura during the winter season range between a pleasant 20-25 degrees and reach over 30 degrees during the summer, with very little rainfall. The island has over 150 beaches, some of which are the best in Europe, making it an ideal location for sun worshippers who do not want to take a long-haul flight.

The island is a mecca for water sports fanatics and surfing is big business in Fuerteventura, so much so, that the island plays host to the PWA world wind surfing and kite surfing championships every July. Scuba diving, snorkelling and deep sea fishing are also very popular.

If you fancy a day away from away from the coastline, Fuerteventura’s interior is certainly worth exploring. The sparse volcanic landscape, dry, barren desert and pretty Canarian villages that have been missed during the influx of tourism to the island will make you think that you have stepped back in time.
